Privacy policy
In short. We use your email to confirm your signup, open your space and tell you when the app launches. App news, once a month at most, only if you asked for it. We never sell it. You can unsubscribe or delete everything from your space, anytime.
Who is responsible for your data
The publisher named above, based in France. Questions: contact@alicia-skincare.fr. Because the publisher is based in the European Union, your data is protected under the GDPR wherever you live.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- The page language (English or French) and the app name shown when you signed up.
- Your personal invite code, how many people joined with your link, and, if you joined through someone else’s link, that link’s code.
- Where your visit came from: campaign tags in the link (like “instagram”) and the name of the previous site (like instagram.com), never the full page address.
- Your country, as detected by our host. Your IP address is not stored in our database: it’s used only at the moment you submit the form, to block automated floods and check that you’re not a robot.
- The date you signed up, the date you confirmed your email, the version of the notice shown under the form, and whether you asked for app news.
- If you ask for it from your space: your application to test the app (your type of phone), your application to the Circle (your platform, your handle, the size of your audience and what you wrote), and your founding price reservation.
- If you choose to answer the optional questions after signing up: your first name, how full your shelf is, and what you want from your routine (up to three choices).
The optional answers are about your routine and your cosmetic goals. They help us shape the app and are never used for advertising.
Why
- To confirm your email and open your personal space, with no password.
- To tell you when the app launches, before everyone else.
- To share news about the app, once a month at most, if you asked for it.
- To calculate your spot on the list and manage invites.
- To choose beta testers and Circle members among the people who applied.
- To understand, through the optional answers and where visits come from, what people on the list expect and which messages work. These statistics stay internal.
Legal basis
Your consent, given when you sign up, and separately for app news and for each application (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it anytime, as easily as you gave it: use the unsubscribe link in any email, the settings in your space, or write to contact@alicia-skincare.fr. The anti-bot check relies on our legitimate interest in protecting the site from abuse (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Who can see it
Only the project team, with one exception: if you joined with someone’s invite link, that person sees in their space the date you joined, your first name if you gave it, and whether you confirmed your email. We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. Our technical providers process it only on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: website and database hosting (Western Europe).
- Brevo: sending emails (servers in France, Germany and Belgium).
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile): an anti-bot check when you sign up or request a sign-in link. It looks at technical information (IP address, browser, connection) to spot bots, never for advertising. Cloudflare also uses it to improve this detection, under its own responsibility: see its Turnstile privacy policy.
If data passes through the United States, the transfer is covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified, and by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data. Otherwise, it’s deleted at the latest three years after your last interaction with us (for example, signing up or clicking one of our emails). Email links expire after 30 minutes (sign-in) or 14 days (confirmation), and sessions after 60 days. After a deletion, a copy may remain for up to 30 days in our host’s automatic backups, and Brevo’s sending log keeps a record of sent emails for a limited time. If the app never launches, the list is deleted.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, get a copy of it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Your space lets you delete everything yourself, in one step. For anything else, write to contact@alicia-skincare.fr; we’ll reply within one month. These rights apply wherever you live, including under U.S. state privacy laws such as California’s.
If you’re in the EU, you can also file a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) or the authority where you live.
Age
The waitlist is for people 16 and older.
Cookies
This site uses no advertising or analytics cookies and doesn’t track you. When you open your space, a single cookie keeps you signed in for 60 days on that device: it’s strictly necessary. Cloudflare’s anti-bot check (Turnstile) may also store technical data in your browser that is strictly necessary to detect bots.
Security
Connections to this site are encrypted (HTTPS), and access to the list is limited to the project team. There’s no password to steal: you open your space with a link sent by email, and we only store a fingerprint of these links and sessions.
